Take Wing Transitional Living Community

Take Wing is a transitional living community specifically designed to break the cycle of homelessness for youth between the ages of 16 and 24 (youth under the age of 18 must be legally emancipated). The goal is to empower these youth and provide them with hope for the future by working side-by-side with them to develop their independent living skills. Take Wing is committed to assisting homeless teens, teenage parents, young families, and those “aging out” of the foster care system to become successfully independent and productive members of society.

The Take Wing site promotes privacy and a sense of community, which help to provide a safe and secure living environment. The program serves the psychological, social, educational, and economic needs of all residents through self-help, family support, and counseling.  Take Wing offers a range of activities and services to support young adults who follow the Take Wing Application Process and meet program eligibility requirements. Please note that applications are not available online and will only be given in a 1-on-1 appointment that will be scheduled with the youth in the days following the informational meeting.
